The Approval of the Lebanese Citizenship Reacquisition Draft Law by the Council of Ministers.

 

May 8, 2026 - The Maronite Foundation in the World proudly announces that the Council of Ministers has approved the draft law on the reacquisition of Lebanese citizenship, following the efforts, consultations, and continuous follow-up carried out by the Foundation with the official authorities and the concerned ministers.

The Foundation hopes that the proposal will be referred to the General Assembly of Parliament within the required timeframe for voting and final adoption, paving the way for its implementation.

The Foundation also reaffirms its commitment to continue defending the rights of Lebanese expatriates and strengthening their ties to their homeland, because Lebanon is only complete through its sons and daughters both in Lebanon and throughout the diaspora.
