The Maronite Foundation in the World Joins Patriarch Rai’s Pastoral Visit to Jezzine and Surrounding Villages
On April 17, 2026 - The Maronite Foundation in the World, represented by its President Mrs. Rose Choueiry and Mrs. Hiam Boustani, participated in the pastoral visit carried out by His Beatitude Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi to the Jezzine region and its neighboring villages.
The visit included several stops, notably:
The town of Al-Qrayeh (church visit and meeting with residents), Kfarfalous (launch of the farmers’ project), Deir El-Qattine of the Antonine Order (meeting with the priests and displaced families), Jezzine (a celebratory Mass at Saint Maron Church and meeting with the local community), the inauguration of the new Caritas Jezzine regional center, a visit to the government hospital, and concluded at the Monastery of Our Lady of Mashmousheh.
Throughout the various stops, the Foundation engaged with local residents and took part in the Divine Liturgy at Saint Maron Church, attended by the Papal Nuncio and several bishops, in a unifying atmosphere of faith.
The visit concluded with a stop at the Monastery of Our Lady of Mashmousheh, where prayers were offered for peace and steadfastness for our people in the South.
